How can I trigger that a file gets physicall moved?

Real Physical Media always uses the folder name of the folder where the file is located your media library. To trigger a physical move you have three types of “triggers” available:

1. Synchronize all existing files in your media library

You can synchronize all your existing files in your media library, so they get moved to the corresponding folder with one click. Navigate to Settings > Media > Tab “Real Physical Media” and click on “Reinitialize all files”.

2. Move a single file

Just move a file with drag & drop to a Real Media Library folder in your media library. Afterwards, click on the attachment and in the attachment details you will see a “Folder” section. There you can – if the file path is not synchronized yet – trigger a physical move.

3. Recommend: Automatically listen to changes

If you activate “Automatic change detection” in your admin toolbar, all file changes are automatically detected and physically synchronized. For example, you have a folder “Animls” with three files, renaming it to “Animals” will trigger all containing files be moved to wp-content/uploads/animals automatically.
