🏢 devowl.io: Build innovative data protection solutions with us!

Since 2015, we at devowl.io have been developing and distributing WordPress plugins (and in the future also SaaS products) that make life easier for website owners. Over 200,000 websites trust our products for their needs, and we support them every day. 🍪 Real Cookie Banner, a consent management solution, is our most popular product, and we plan to develop further data protection products with you that not only meet legal requirements but are especially understandable for people in order to make compliance in their everyday lives easier.

In our small remote-first team, each employee is valued as an individual. We communicate as equals, self-organize our working hours around our lives and try to give our best together every day using modern technologies!

🧑‍💻 Your tasks

You are responsible for growth both strategically and hands-on—from planning to implementation. This applies to Real Cookie Banner as well as other data protection products in our pipeline. Thereby, you work closely with in-house software development and, if necessary, utilize internal or external contributions, which you manage in a targeted manner.

  • Development and implementation of a growth roadmap (hypotheses, prioritization, experiments, measurement concept, iteration); partly based on existing analyses
  • Development and scaling of new sales channels (channel sales) across Europe (DACH has historically been our main market; product internationalization is in place – sales are being expanded)
  • Launch and monitor pricing/packaging and lifecycle/retention levers testing (positioning, packages, discounts) with data-based evaluation
  • Establishment of process automation in growth/marketing: Scalable workflows with and without AI support for lead flows, partner processes, content production, and reporting processes
  • Partner and cooperation management from identification, outreach, and qualification to negotiation and maintenance (e.g. hosting companies, influencers, bloggers, related products, developers)
  • Data-driven analysis of traffic, funnel, and sales flows (including derivation of concrete measures and clean reporting)
  • Help build a data protection-compliant tracking/measurement concept (events, conversions, UTM standards) and identify gaps/measurement errors
  • Practical implementation in WordPress, e.g., building landing pages/funnels, writing conversion copy, structure and design — including ongoing iterations based on data/feedback
  • Use of LLMs for efficient planning, production, and analysis as your sparring partner – with high quality standards and clear content classification in the context of data protection

🧠 What you should bring and be able to do

  • Multiple years of practical experience in establishing and scaling growth/sales processes for digital products (SaaS, subscription, WordPress products, or similar)
  • Proven experience in experiment-driven growth (hypotheses → tests → evaluation → scaling) and in KPI-oriented working methods
  • Solid understanding of subscription business models and scalable sales strategies in mass customer business (including funnel/conversion/process automation thinking)
  • Experience in workflow and process automation (n8n or comparable), ideally including AI-supported building blocks and an understanding of how LLMs work
  • Confident use of WordPress (building, writing, designing, and iterating landing pages yourself — not just briefing others)
  • High motivation and ambition to familiarize yourself with data protection/legal tech in order to implement authentic marketing (no bullshitting)
  • Conscious sharing of successes and failures within the team
  • Don’t be afraid to treat everyone personally, on an equal footing and with humanity from the beginning
  • Giving and accepting constructive feedback in order to grow together
  • German and English fluent/business fluent (we work bilingually)
  • (optional) Knowledge of the languages Italian, French or Spanish

🌟 We offer you

  • 100% remote work (personal meetings a few times a year, e.g. at team events or conferences)
  • 36 to 40 hours per week of work (as it fits best into your life)
  • Enjoy a 30-day vacation per year (at 40 working hours per week)
  • Flexible working hours, whether like to work at 5am or 11pm (after a training period). The only thing that counts for us is that we finish our work responsibly.
  • Wide range of opportunities to position a proven product (legally, technologically and from a business case perspective) in sales and to initiate exciting projects
  • Support from management to obtain and access tools and resources to successfully implement promising projects
  • Modern notebook of your choice (Mac/Windows/Linux) and other equipment for optimal work
  • Doer mentality in a tech team with modern and highly automated software development. If an idea makes sense, it is quickly implemented!
  • Attractive company pension plan with subsidies, monthly tax-free voucher and yearly (for you tax-free) recreational allowances

✉️ Still there? Apply now!

Send us your CV plus:

  • a short abstract of your strongest scaling projects (preferably with figures/impact; written in a few compact bullet points), and
  • if available, links/screenshots to landing pages/funnels, WordPress pages, or automations/workflows that you have implemented.

You can save a classic cover letter if you tell us why you are interested in developing data protection solutions with us!

📬 We are looking forward to your application!
